Your Aging Navigator
Officially Launches

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – September 11, 2025

Families in Sioux Falls now have a new resource to help them navigate the complex decisions that come with aging. Your Aging Navigator, a locally-based consultancy, officially launched last week, offering personalized support to help individuals and families plan with confidence and peace of mind.

“When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, I realized how many families struggle to find guidance during these moments,” said Leah Jones, Co-Founder of Your Aging Navigator. “We started this company so families can stay present with their loved ones, without getting lost in the process.”

Your Aging Navigator provides one-on-one support to help clients understand care options, prepare for transitions, and make informed decisions around housing, finances, legal matters, and daily needs. The company’s structured approach helps families feel equipped and supported from start to finish.

“Aging involves countless details and transitions, and it can feel overwhelming,” said Michelle Meinerts, Co-Founder. “With South Dakota’s aging population steadily growing, it’s more important than ever to offer families clear, actionable guidance.”

South Dakota is undergoing a major demographic shift. According to the U.S. Census Bureau and the South Dakota Department of Health, adults aged 65 and older are projected to make up over 20% of the state’s population by 2030, surpassing the percentage of children under 18. In Sioux Falls alone, Minnehaha County’s 65+ community has grown by nearly 8% since 2020, increasing demand for aging-related services.

Your Aging Navigator was founded to bring clarity and connection to this journey. Recognizing that every family’s situation is unique, the service helps simplify complex choices, prioritize immediate needs, and plan for what’s ahead, so families can focus on meaningful time together.
